Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is set to become the club’s highest-paid player in history with a weekly wage of £100,000.

After securing contracts for Leighton Baines, Gareth Barry and Mason Holgate, Everton are willing to tie Lukaku to a new deal.

The new contract will cost Everton who are about to smash their strict wage structure to keep the Belgium international.

When he signs his new contract, Lukaku will be the first Everton player to get a £100,000 per week contract.

The striker’s agent Mino Raiola was at the Goodison Park on Monday, December 19 to watch the Merseyside derby and was with Everton’s majority investor Farhad Moshiri.

 

According to Daily Mail, talks about a new contract for Lukaku is going on smoothly.

The striker’s current contract expires in 2019.
