Manchester City, third on the Premier League table will be visiting Anfield on Saturday, December 31 to face Liverpool, second.

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola was at Anfield to keep an eye on Liverpool as they thrashed Stoke City 4-1 on Tuesday, December 27.

Ahead of the match, Guardiola was in the stands spying on his next opponents, Liverpool.

Liverpool went behind courtesy of Jon Walters’ goal before Adam Lallana equalised from an acute angle in the 34th minute.

Roberto Firmino put them ahead just before the break before an own goal by Giannelli Imbula in the 59th and a strike by substitute Daniel Sturridge sealed a 4-1 victory.

 

Also in the stadium to watch the game were Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard, England manager Gareth Southgate and Sunderland boss David Moyes.
